    Description

    PCGS Certification # 9186.65+/38216741, as shown.  A common date, but an uncommon and very lovely coin.  There are minor flaws which apparently keep this coin from being graded a 66.  I have tried to capture both the coin's highly lustrous beauty and its departures from perfection in the photos.  To my mind, the most notable of the latter is a dark scuff at the most prominent point of the eagle's left wing.  There are also small dark spots (copper spots?) in the obverse field, above Liberty's left arm, which are far more conspicuous in the photos than to the naked eye.  The color of the coin is a warm gold rather than a lemony yellow.  Will ship by USPS Priority Mail (small box), signature required.  (Registered mail available for a fee of .)  Any questions?  Please ask.
